Upon the sudden appearance of the previous Overlord, it is not only learnt that the current Overlord was meant as a temporary tool to be used to defeat the various hero leaders in the lands but was originally the eighth hero who upon destruction of the previous Overlord, fell from a great height and was left for dead by his fellow heroes while they looted the remains of the falling tower.
His various act and decisions are reflected by his tower and armour that become bright and shiny from more positive acts while dark and spiky from more evil acts.
